In this semi abstract painting a Canadian Loon is lifting off from the water and soaring into the colourful sky.
The multi-coloured streams of water flowing from his wings give him a surrealistic feel, rather other-worldly. I love the contrast between the realistic portrayal of the loon and the abstract back ground.
